We sang our convention set, along with a couple of favourites -I Will Survive went down wonderfully! HoE followed with their convention set, and song good classics like Mary Lou, followed by both choruses attacking the cake table. Thank you to everyone who baked some scrumptious goodies! Both choruses back on the risers, we tried a few songs with a range of pitches to get something that worked for all parts, though female tenors singing lower than female leads was an odd experience. Great fun for all, and we later heard that the staff at the Lodge opened all the doors to hear the singing
And in good ol' Barbershop tradition, after the formal riser-based singing finished, groups formed around the room to sing a little longer. To see more of the menfolks, go to their website at www.heartofenglandchorus.org.uk
Thanks to both directors for arranging such a fun afternoon, and we hope it becomes an annual tradition!
